Tideline Command

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Tideline Command asks you to run a string of island outposts while rival fleets probe your defenses. It's real-time but never frantic — you can slow the pace, queue orders, and think. That restraint is what makes it work on a touchscreen, where twitchy micro usually falls apart.

The economy loop is the star. Balancing shipyards, supply routes, and scouting keeps your hands full without overwhelming you, and the AI is smart enough to punish a lazy defensive line. I lost a few maps purely because I got greedy expanding.

There's a proper skirmish mode for one-off matches, which I appreciated. It's a thinking-person's strategy game that respects that you're playing on the couch, not at a desk.
