About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where four of us kept sending each other screenshots of whatever we were playing on the bus. At some point the recommendations got too good to keep private, so we turned them into a site. Nothing corporate about it — we just like games and we like arguing about them.,Every review here comes from real play sessions. We don't grade a game off a trailer or a press kit. Somebody on the team downloads it, plays until they have an actual opinion, and then we sit down and hash out the score together. If two of us disagree, that usually ends up in the text.,We cover everything, not just one genre. Puzzles, sprawling RPGs, slow-burn strategy, quick arcade stuff for a coffee break. The rule is simple: it has to be worth your storage space and your evening.,We pay for our own downloads and cosmetics when needed, so the verdict stays ours. If that ever changes for a specific piece, we'll say so right in the article.

Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still gets genuinely annoyed by bad menus. He handles most of the RPG and strategy coverage.
